Following the tradition started with GoTFC
“On the tenth day of Christmas, Bell + Rogers gave to me…”
10 Seats Remaining
The tenth day of Christmas comes with the news that Toronto FC have decided to use the Rogers Centre as their venue for the home leg against the Los Angeles Galaxy. So, on day ten, let’s all come together and ensure there are only ten empty seats at the dome!
With American Football matches clocking in at about 53,500 fans, Toronto FC fans don’t need to ask for much – simply 53,490 fans. That’s all!
Supposedly, Toronto FC has priced the tickets for this event fairly, giving supporters tickets for $15-20. The rest of the stadium, however, cannot and must not be overpriced in typical fashion! Tickets must be affordable across the board, if this dream of filling the dome is to be achieved. Anything more than $45 is pushing it.
If the event is advertised properly and tickets remain fair, this should be an event to remember, a sell-out crowd (minus 10) packing Toronto’s favourite giant, dome-shaped arena.
A note to the ten people who somehow didn’t arrive:
To the one clueless sports fan: No, Toronto FC is not a baseball team.
To the one guy who is never on time: Yes, it is on March 7th, 2012 – it says so on your ticket!
To the one guy who always complains: No, Lady Gaga’s Worldwide Gaga-tour is not more important and should not have been scheduled instead of this match. Deal with this! This is football, the beautiful game! Why’d you even buy the ticket in the first place?
To that one Los Angeles Galaxy supporter who missed his flight: wake up 15 minutes earlier and skip breakfast! Off to LAX, quick!
To the group of 4 attractive twenty-something girls who Google’d “David Beckham Los Angeles Hot Pics” the morning of the game and discovered that Golden Balls no longer plays for the Galaxy: please come anyways.
To the poor, elderly couple who showed up at BMO Field: Sorry!
A full house at Rogers Centre? Make it happen!
