Oldham Athletic A.F.C. announced on Friday that the club has signed Canada international Terry Dunfield on a contract to the end of the season following a trial. Midfielder Dunfield, who turned 32 on Friday, began his career at Manchester City and he has also played for Bury, Macclesfield and Shrewsbury. Born in Vancouver, he returned to his homeland in 2010 and has earned 14 caps with the Canadian Men’s National Team. With the signing, the long-time veteran of English football returns to England following several years playing in Canada with his hometown club the Vancouver Whitecaps and Toronto FC. "With the loss of Anton Rodgers to injury, I didn't feel we could take any chances. Terry has good pedigree," manager Lee Johnson said via the Oldham website.
