This past week saw two fringe national team players make big moves.
Only July 10th, 26-year-old Stefan Cebara left Lithuanian club FK Utenis Utena for Serbian club FK Vojvodina. The move is massive for Cebara as Vojvodina are a Europa League regular and one of Serbia’s biggest clubs but has left some wondering how he will fit in.
Cebara made 8 appearances with Utenis Utena, including 7 starts, and has 5 caps for the men’s national team, all in 2013.
On the 14th, 25-year-old Charlie Trafford signed with top flight Finnish club RoPS after a short stint with Sandecja Nowy Sącz of Poland’s second division. Trafford has played in Finland before, winning the Golden Boot for Kuopion Palloseura in 2015, and could be a possible starter for the 8th place RoPS.
Trafford made 8 appearances for Sandecja Nowy Sącz, including 1 start, and has 3 cap for the men’s national team.
